there is no such thing as an orange orange

6/19/17
P Day again!

Alright so I think oranges/tangerines/whatever you want to call them arein season right now because literally everyone and their mother is giving us oranges and they're all green hahaha. They're ripe and taste fine but not orange.

Buuuuut this week was super rad and kind of all over the place because we were in a correria between all of our investigators to bring them to church! We are teaching some really rad people. One of them is a 9 y/o girl whose parents are members of the church but haven't come in a long time but want her to be baptized and she's so smart and understands everything and she's marked for baptism in a few weeks! Another is a friend of one of the girls in our ward and he comes to church and all the activities and is being integrated really well. And another is a girl whose door we knocked on (or gate we clapped at lol) and she met the missionaries a while back and is currently church hopping because she wants to find the way to improve her life and she's so sweet and awesome and basically we have a ton of rad people to teach. Sister Azevedo and I have been huuuuunting for new people to teach and realized just this week that we already have a ton of people, but we haven't been focusing on them.

There was also this really cool holiday we had this week for Festa Junina and basically it's like a hoedown/fall festival in June and everybody wears plaid and straw hats and jeans and eats corn products. I plan on doing my own Festa Junina every year for the rest of my life hahha.

But basically that was all for this week! Remember that the doctrine of Christ (take a look at 2 Nephi 31 this week) is all that we need! It is the essencial steps we need to take to be with our Heavenly Father again. The first step is faith! Remember that everything starts with faith in our Savior, in His promises, and His ability to help us. And remember that faith is a principle of power! When we have faith, we act! We do what He asks of us because we know that it is ultimately better for us than anything else. Remember that!

Have a rad week!!

Todo o meu amor,
Sister Moratinha
