Me & My Purple Bible

Oiiiiiii everybody

This week was suuuuuuuper slow in terms of the work (everybody disappeared off the face of the map) and it was tempting to get discouraged buuut I have an awesome companion who gives me great advice when I'm down and I have hope in the promises of the Lord that there are people He has prepared for us to find! 

We just didn't meet any of those people this week haha. 

But that's okay! 

I had a great week because I got to Skype my family this week! And I finally got a pocket sized Bible (all the missionaries had little pocket sized Bibles to carry around except for me)! And the only one I found with the translation I wanted was purple! So now I have a purple Bible!

We also had zone conference this week and if I had to sum up all the lessons I learned in the past 7 days it would be: BE HUMBLE. Hahaha so many times we think we are doing everything right and so we don't self reflect or ask our Heavenly Father what we can do to serve other people more, work more effectively, be more loving, be more patient. We think we are doing everything right and then God sends somebody to #burn you just a little bit and you realize you're not so great after all hahaha. But the beautiful thing is that we have repentance and second chances! Everybody has a new opportunity to improve and be better thanks to the gift of repentance and our Savior Jesus Christ. And as Gary Sabin of the Seventy has said, "Nobody has sinned tomorrow." I hope you can look at something you can improve today to become better by tomorrow!
